Bio

Peter E. McCarthy is a system engineer specializing in research, development and implementation of disruptive marine and medical technology.  He has a record of helping startups take solutions from concept to scale.  As a member of the technical team for the winning 1992 America’s cup syndicate he developed and implemented data collection and analysis processes used in designing, building and testing of four (4) 75-foot carbon fiber racing sailboats in seventeen (17) months. As the Director of system development at Heartlab Inc he helped integrate their networked full motion digital cardiac imaging solution in over 500 hospitals worldwide. Heartlab went from a startup to ultimately being purchased by Agfa HealthCare. Peter continued on as the Technical Product Manager for their cardiology and enterprise imaging solutions.

Peter is the president of the New England Chapter, Florida Tech Alumni Association.
